1 run in 5.2 innings → 1 run in 6 innings. No starting spot… 12-win pitcher last year, on the disabled list.

I don’t have a spot on the first team….

LG Twins’ Lee Min-ho’s protest continues. He continues to pitch well, knocking on the door of the first team.

Lee Min-ho started the Futures League game against the Samsung Lions in Gyeongsan on the 26th and pitched six innings, allowing one run (unearned) on two hits and one walk with four strikeouts. He pitched very economically with 72 pitches.

After getting off to a good start in the top of the first inning by getting Kim Sang-min to ground out to first, Lee struck out Kim Ho-jae at second and Kim Dong-jin at third on a grounder to first.

With a 3-0 lead in the top of the second inning, Lee got Kim Tae-hoon to fly out to shortstop on three pitches, but gave up a hard-hit ball to Yoon Jung-bin in the fifth, and three consecutive pitches to rookie Ryu Seung-min in the sixth. However, after taking the fourth and fifth pitches for strikes, Lee Min-ho struck out swinging with a changeup. Yoon Jung-bin then stole second base. The inning came to an end when Oh Hyun-seok, No. 7, flied out to center field on the first pitch.

In the bottom of the third, Lee Bung-heon grounded out to the third baseman and Ahn Ju-hyung singled to right, but Kim Sang-min flied out to center and Kim Ho-jae flied out to left to end the inning.

In the top of the fourth, Son Ho-young’s triple and Kim Ki-yeon’s RBI single plated four runs to give LG a comfortable 7-0 lead.

Lee Min-ho was in trouble in the bottom of the fourth. He got Kim Dong-jin to fly out to left field, but gave up a double to left-center field to Kim Tae-hoon in the fourth. He got Yoon Jung-bin to ground out to first base for the second out. He then induced Ryu Seung-min to fly out to center field, but second baseman Seo Gun-chang caught the ball and dropped it, allowing Kim Tae-hoon to score the first run. Oh Hyun-seok struck out on three pitches to end the inning.

With the score at 9-1, the fifth inning was no different. After getting Lee Byung-hun to fly out to center and Ahn Joo-hyung to fly out to right, Lee Min-ho gave up a walk to Kim Sang-min, and Kim Ho-jae was hit by a pitch to put runners on second and third. However, Lee got Kim Ho-jae to ground out to shortstop to end the inning. By the end of the fifth inning, he had thrown 63 pitches.

In the bottom of the sixth, Lee Min-ho got Kim Dong-jin to fly out to right, Kim Tae-hoon to fly out to left, and Yoon Jung-bin to ground out to end the inning with a triple play. With a 10-1 lead, he was replaced by Cho Won-tae in the seventh inning.

Lee Min-ho, who returned from an elbow injury earlier this season in late May, struggled in five appearances with the first team, going 2-2 with a 5.03 ERA. He eventually rebuilt his body in the second team and gradually improved. As the fourth and fifth lineups continued to struggle, it looked like Lee Min-ho would be able to move up to the first team when he was ready. However, LG acquired Choi Won-tae and Lee Jung-yong, who was converted into a starter, pitched brilliantly to complete the five.메이저놀이터

Yeom plans to stick with the current five starters unless something else comes up.

Currently, the only way for Lee Min-ho to get a start is if there is a Monday game or a doubleheader due to the rest of the schedule. Coming off back-to-back strong outings after allowing one run on five hits over 5⅔ innings in a second-team game against Hanwha on April 18, Lee will need to be prepared and ready to go when the opportunity presents itself.
