The Atlanta Braves are coming out of the gate guns blazing, closing in on the most home runs by a team in a single season in Major League Baseball history.

Through 13 days, Atlanta has hit 281 home runs in 145 games. They hit three home runs against the Philadelphia Phillies on Aug. 13.

They are now on pace for 314 home runs. That’s the most home runs by a team in a single season in Major League Baseball history. The previous record was 307 by the Minnesota Twins in 2019.

Atlanta is led by Matt Olson with 51 homers, while Ronald Acuña Jr, Austin Riley, and Marcell Osuna all have over 30 homers.

Aji Albies is on pace to reach the 30-homer mark with 29, while Eddie Rosario and Sean Murphy have 21 and 20, respectively.

Add to that Orlando Arcia and Michael Harris II, who have 17 and 16 homers, respectively, and you have a good chance of reaching 20. Travis d’Arnaud also has 11 homers.

Atlanta’s offense has exploded from the beginning of the season to the end. Olson, in particular, is one home run shy of the franchise’s single-season record.메이저놀이터

Next up, Acuña Jr. needs three more home runs to record his second 40-homer season. Add five steals, and he’ll join the 40-70 club.

Given the current momentum, Atlanta’s chances of breaking the record are very good. Even if Olson and Acuña Jr. fade, home runs are coming from all over the place.

With 10 different batters hitting double-digit home runs, it will be interesting to see if Atlanta can break Minnesota’s record from three years ago and become the best home run team of all time.
