The downfall of Dele Alli never ends.
Alli was considered one of England’s top talents. He broke into Tottenham Hotspur’s first team in the 2015-16 season when he was just 19 years old, scoring 10 goals and providing 11 assists in 46 appearances, including cup competitions. His style of play was described as “elegant,” and he displayed a wide range of talents, from his ability to produce attacking points to his playmaking.
He also gained a lot of recognition in Korea. He was often seen hanging out with Son Heung-min and was known as the latter’s “best friend” in Korea.
In the 2016-17 season, he scored 18 goals in the league alone, topping the scoring charts. The ‘DESK line’ he formed with Son, Harry Kane, and Christian Eriksen was considered one of the best attacking lines in Europe, and their performances helped Tottenham finish second in the league and runner-up in the UEFA Champions League (UCL).
However, the ‘glory days’ didn’t last long. He faded from prominence in the second half of the 2019-20 season, and by 2020-21, he was a fringe player. While Son, Kane, and others rose to prominence, Alli went downhill.
He eventually left Tottenham after the first half of the 2021-22 season. He went on to play for Everton and Besiktas, but never recaptured his form. More recently, he was involved in a controversial situation when he was found to have ingested laughing gas after returning to Everton through injury.
There is no sign of a rebound. At one point, it was reported that Besiktas would give Alli another chance. Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo wrote: “A season that ended prematurely with rumors of a falling out with the coach, absences, the laughing gas controversy, and injuries. These are the words that define Alli’s loan spell at Besiktas. Nevertheless, Besiktas are planning to bring him back this summer.” But that was it.안전놀이터
Besiktas cut ties with Ali for good. According to the Liverpool Echo, the CEO of Besiktas said, “The contract with Ali is over. We were very excited when he came. Because he was a good player. But he’s not coming back. We didn’t get what we expected from him. We just hope he recovers from his injury soon.”
