‘Hot 16 days’ passion badminton league preliminaries ended, final tournament held on April 2nd

The qualifying match for the 2023 Passion Badminton League has ended.

The 2023 Passion Badminton League, the largest badminton unemployment-club team festival in Korea, concluded the preliminaries schedule with the women’s KGC Ginseng Corporation-Yeongdong-gun Office and the men’s Milyang City Hall-Chungju City Hall match held at the Pocheon Gymnasium in Gyeonggi-do on the 4th. 스포츠토토

The team that decorated the long-awaited last day of the preliminary round with victory was KGC and Miryang City Hall. KGC beat Yeongdong County Office 3-0 with a match score of 4-0 in Group B. The 3-0 victory this season was the first, so it showed clean performance. Park Hye-eun and Yoon Ye-rim’s doubles team took the first set, and Kim Gar-ram, who started singles, withdrew due to an injury to her opponent Bae Eun-eun. Then Park Se-eun and Go Hee-joo took a victory period.

Miryang City Hall also beat Chungju City Hall 3-0. Starting with the start of the doubles team between Bae Kwon-young and Lim Soo-min, Kim Dong-hoon, a former national team player, defeated Park Tae-hoon in singles. Miryang City Hall, who achieved three wins with Choi Hyuk-gyun and Park Seol-hyun winning the second doubles, took the last train of the playoffs in third place in Group B.

After the preliminaries, the rankings of each group were finalized. In the men’s Group A, defending champion Yonex took the lead with a 5-0 win. It was followed by MG Saemaul Geumgo (4 wins and 1 loss) and Dangjin City Hall (3 wins and 2 losses). In the men’s group B, the Armed Forces Athletic Corps rose to first place with a total of 5 victories. Next, Samsung Life Insurance (4 wins and 1 loss) and Miryang City Hall (3 wins and 2 losses) lined up.

The defending champion, Samsung Life Insurance, in Group A of the women’s division, recorded three victories. MG Saemaul Geumgo (2 wins and 1 loss) and Pocheon City Hall (1 wins and 2 losses) joined the playoffs. In Group B, another winning team, KGC, took 1st place with 4 wins, and Hwasun-gun Office (3 wins and 1 loss) and Yeongdong-gun Office (2 wins and 2 losses) won the final ticket.

The match list has also been confirmed. 1st place in each group advances directly to the semifinals, and 2nd place in each group plays against 3rd place in each other group for a playoff. The winner of the match advances to the semi-finals to meet first place.

In the men’s division, Yonex (A1) will meet the winner between Samsung Life Insurance (B2) and Dangjin City Hall (A3), and the Armed Forces Sports Corps (B1) will meet the winner between MG Saemaul Geumgo (A2) and Miryang City Hall (B3).

In the women’s division, Samsung Life Insurance (A1) waits for the winner of the Hwasun-gun Office (B2)-Pocheon City Hall (A3) match, and KGC (B1) waits for the winner between MG Saemaul Geumgo (A2) and Yeongdong-gun Office (B3).

The final tournament will be held at Namyangju Sports and Culture Center in Gyeonggi-do from April 2nd to 9th, and the 3rd/4th and 5th/6th place decisions will not be held.
