Reporter Park Sang-hyun = Leeds United have sacked American coach Jesse Marsh in less than a year. The reason, of course, is sexual weakness.
Leeds United announced on the club’s official website on the 7th (Korean time) that it has decided to part ways with manager Marsh, who has been suffering from sluggish performance, having failed to win a single game in the recent 7 English Premier League (EPL) matches. 스포츠토토
Manager Marsh, who ate rice with Hwang Hee-chan (Wolverhampton Wanderers) at Red Bull Salzburg and RB Leipzig, signed a three-year and three-month contract until June 2025 as the successor of manager Marcelo Bielsa on March 1 last year.
When Marsh took over Leeds’ helm, Leeds chairman Angus Kinnear said, “Coach Marsh has had a lot of success in New York and Salzburg, and he is a leader who fits well with the club. I think he will rebuild the team and win.” He expressed his expectations, but when his grades plummeted, he eventually took the extreme measure of hardening.
Leeds, who sacked coach Bielsa last year due to Leeds’ poor performance, narrowly escaped relegation by finishing 17th in the 2021-2022 season. Leeds has not won 7 games in the EPL since the last game in November last year, and remains in 17th place this season.
Meanwhile, René Maric, Cameron Toshak, and Pierre Barriou, who had joined the coaching staff with Marsh, were also sacked.
However, Michael Skubala, Paco Gallardo and Chris Armas, who joined Leeds United’s coaching staff last week, will remain in place to prepare for the midweek match against Manchester United.
