Mulich, the tallest player in K-League history (203 cm), is trying to show off his huge presence at the forefront of Suwon Samsung.
Mulich joined Seongnam FC in 2021 and established a relationship with the K-League. After scoring 22 goals in two seasons, including 13 in his first season, he joined Suwon Samsung ahead of this season.
Mulich’s debut took some time. He suffered a hamstring injury at the end of winter training. He looked back, saying, “I was getting injured on the last day when winter training was almost over.” He added, “The league started and it was more disappointing not being able to help the team.”
Mulich made his Suwon Samsung debut in the 5th round against Gangwon FC on the 2nd. Starting with Gangwon, he showed a threatening appearance against Ulsan Hyundai and Jeju United. He didn’t score, but he did show some frustrating attacking potential.
Mulich said, “It’s a pity that I haven’t scored as a striker yet,” but “the regret that the team didn’t win is bigger.” He also said, “I believe that I will definitely score a goal because I am doing additional training after training.”안전놀이터
Mulich’s joining Suwon Samsung was rather late. As Oh Hyeon-gyu (Celtic) suddenly left the team, the move gained momentum. He said, “I know very well that Suwon Samsung is a big club for the first time,” and “a hot shout with wonderful fans fills the stadium.” At the same time, he said, “I know that the pressure is great and that greater efforts must follow.”
Suwon Samsung did not benefit from a foreign striker last season. That’s why he had Mulich, which was proven in the K-League. Mulich knows the expectations for himself in this situation. He said of his role, “It doesn’t help to be comfortable in a high position,” and “I think we need a player who can defend with a lot of activity with the team.”
There are also concerns about Mulich. The largest part of them is Ramadan. Muslims go through Ramadan, a period of fasting and prayer. He takes no food or water while the sun is up.
This is where he might be sensitive, but Mulich replied with a smile. “I know enough about the questions and concerns that a lot of people have,” he said. “It doesn’t make a big difference to me.” “The most important thing is mental strength,” said Mulich.
“For me, the Ramadan period is a very precious time rather than a difficult time,” Mulich said. “Thank you for your concern.” He said, “Whether it’s Ramadan or not, I’m always doing my best without lacking.” I will prove it with a good image,” he expressed his confidence.
Seven games have passed since the opening, but Suwon Samsung still has no league victory. With coach Lee Byeong-geun stepping down due to poor performance, a super match with FC Seoul awaits. Coincidentally, the opponent for Mulich’s debut goal in the K-League is Seoul. Also, the Ramadan period is over.
“I know that the Super Match is the biggest derby in Korea,” said Mulich. “I will prepare with 100% effort for any opponent.” Then, when asked about the ceremony pledge, he added, “I’m not the type to think separately,” adding, “First, I want to present good results to the fans.”
Currently, Mulich’s brothers are in Korea. It is the first time Mulich has been with his family since entering the K-League. He said, “It’s so nice to be with my family,” and “My brothers also say that Korea is so good and amazing.”
However, his professional player duties were not lost. Mulich laughed, saying, “Brothers who want to know more about Korea keep asking me to go outside.”
