Busan University reignites mid-tier competition with convincing win
Busan National University cruised to an 85-48 victory over Kangwon National University in the 2023 KUSF University Basketball U-League away game at Kangwon National University Gymnasium on Feb. 2.
Busan won its second straight game after a three-game losing streak to improve to 5-3 and move into a tie for third place with Gwangju, and cut the deficit to one game over second-place Suwon University. Ra Chae-yoon (19 points, seven rebounds, eight assists, and three steals) made his presence felt in a variety of categories, while Lee Soo-ha (22 points, three three-pointers, two rebounds, six assists, and three steals) was the team’s top scorer. Busan University held an overwhelming advantage in fast-break points (22-2).
Meanwhile, last-place Gangwon University dropped its sixth straight game to open the season. Choi Seul-ki (18 points, seven rebounds, five assists) and Han Ji-min (15 points, four 3-pointers, seven rebounds, eight assists) split time, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the power differential as they committed a combined 25 turnovers.
The first quarter was relatively tight. Busan University took control of the game with three-pointers from Ra Chae-yoon and Kim Sae-byul, but they were unable to pull away due to Kangwon University’s even scoring distribution. At the end of the first quarter, the score was 20-15.
In the second quarter, Busan University pulled away from Kangwon National University. Based on their rebounding advantage, Lee Soo-ha led the team’s offense, and they also actively ran the fast break, gaining an advantage in the physical battle against Kangwon University, which had fewer players available. With five players in double figures, Pusan ended the second quarter with a 36-26 lead.메이저사이트

The gap widened further in the fourth quarter. Busan University continued to capitalize on its rebounding advantage, and at one point in the fourth quarter, the lead reached 40 points. Busan University, which operated comfortably throughout the fourth quarter, finished the game without any crisis and won its second straight game.
