Son Heung-min, Kim Min-jae, and Lee Kang-in are among the top 10 most expensive players in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
TransferMarkt, a soccer statistical service, values players based on their current performance, age, contract length, and other factors. They regularly update their player valuations as the season ends in every league. Recently, Korean leaguers who play abroad, such as Kim Min-jae, Lee Kang-in, and Hong Hyun-seok, have seen their salaries rise.
Japanese players are also on the rise. Takefusa Kubo, Daichi Kamada, Takehiro Tomiyasu, and Ritsu Doan are just a few of the Japanese players who have been performing well. Iranian and Australian players are also making their mark. So who are the top 10 highest paid players in the AFC?
Tied for first place are Son Heung-min and Kim Min-jae. They are tied for first place with 60 million euros (approximately 83.7 billion won). Son was the overwhelming favorite, but his value has dropped as he’s gotten older and played less. Kim Min-jae, on the other hand, was one of the best performers in the Italian Serie A this season, leading Napoli to the league title. He’s now in the same league as Heung-min, thanks to his tremendous performance.
Kamada comes in third. Kamada has been linked with a move to AC Milan after leaving Frankfurt. Tomiyasu has been hampered by injuries this season, but still manages to hold onto fourth place. There’s also Kubo, who has had a great season for Real Sociedad. It’s no exaggeration to say that he was the La Liga team player of the year. Kamada is worth 30 million euros ($41.8 billion), while Tomiyas and Kubo are worth 25 million euros ($34.8 billion).
Lee Kang-in is seventh on the list. He’s worth the same as Brighton sensation Kaoru Mitoma. By erasing his flaws and maximizing his strengths this season, Lee has emerged as an irreplaceable resource for Real Mallorca and a top-flight midfielder in La Liga.안전놀이터
Having exploded with potential at Mallorca, Lee is pushing for a move and is very close to joining Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). If he continues his current form at PSG, his value will only increase. His current asking price is €22 million.
Porto’s Mehdi Taremi, who dominated the Portuguese league, is eighth on the list at €20 million ($27.9 billion). Australian center back Harry Sauter, who plays for Leicester City, was ninth at €15 million. Doan was also worth €15 million, the same as Sauter.
Meanwhile, Korean leaguers Hwang Hee-chan, Hong Hyun-seok, Oh Hyun-gyu, Lee Jae-sung, and Jung Woo-young did not make the top 10.
