‘Lion King’ Oh Se-geun goes to SK… agreed to transfer

‘Lion King’ Oh Se-geun, who was active as a star of Anyang KGC, wears a SK uniform.

According to basketball officials, Oh Se-geun agreed to transfer to Seoul SK on the 18th. It is expected to be around 700 million won in compensation over a three-year period. SK plans to announce the recruitment of Oh Se-geun as soon as the details of the contract are agreed.

MVP, who led his team KGC to victory in the 2022-2023 professional basketball championship game just 10 days ago, transfers to the opposing team, SK. This is the biggest issue in the FA market this year.

Oh Se-geun, a big man from Chung-Ang University, was nominated by KGC with the first overall pick in the 2011 rookie draft, and gave KGC the first championship in the club’s history in the 2011-2012 season championship game. He was also selected as the first playoff MVP in KBL history as a rookie.안전놀이터

Oh Se-geun was also selected as the playoff MVP in the 2016-2017 season and the 2022-2023 season, when KGC won the combined championship. Oh Se-geun was the second case following Yang Dong-geun (former Hyundai Mobis) to be selected as the playoff MVP three times. In the 2016-2017 season, he achieved the MVP Triple Crown, including the regular league and All-Star Games. It is no exaggeration to say that the V4 built by KGC was only possible because of Oh Se-geun.

Oh Se-geun, 13 years after his debut, is still a top-notch big man in KBL. He possesses both shooting ability and BQ as well as control under the goal. SK, which unfortunately handed over the championship to KGC in the 2022-2023 season championship match, joins the existing power composed of Kim Seon-hyung and Oh Se-geun to challenge V4 again in the next season.
